Ode to Our Friends on Line

One day about two years ago Desiree built a Group
She invited good friends and has built up quite a troop.
"Our Friends on Line" became it's name and shortly after that day,
for each of us nothing would ever be quite the same...

I think it was Gini who dubbed us The Mighty Girls
And what a moniker to give!
All do their best to live up to the name.
It's a glorious and often frantic way to live.

Sandy, Carol... and really ALL the girls
do battle with their Outlook Express in-boxes.
They all fill up every day & night with tons of mail
Like the spots of Chicken-poxes!

These e-mails fill the boxes up until they overflow...
There's always a lot to say and some really excellent fun!
It can be hard or impossible to keep up, I know.
Answer one email and ten take it's place before you're done!

The nicest thing about the Girls is that no matter where you live,
there is nearly always someone 'UP' for some fun.
I know that if I get lonesome...
I can find someone hangin' all night and under the sun...

Some ladies I've know for a long time
and a few are nearly brand-new.
But all can be counted as jolly and friendly
As well as caring and supportive, no matter what they do.

I've learned that miles can't separate us
in any tangible way.
Whether with Shares, Jokes, chatting, laughing or gripping
There's always something more to say....

Alligators, dancing and Royal titles have been hot topics
in the past, Don't you know?
But really, just being there for Each Other
is the very best part of the show.

Our piggies are polka-dotted
and can dance The Polka, too.
They live in a Rose Garden
And sometimes do wear shoes.

There is a wicked rumor that they might get barbequed.
The Friends of Piggies work in shifts to keep them safest.
It's not as easy as it sounds.
The piggies just love their flying piggy races.

Sandy says "Eat chicken. Or how about some fish."
While Roni, Charo & Desiree are hunting for a dish.
Pauline & Gini, Cuppy & Lyn are calling out the RCMP
To keep the piggies safe so Moira again may them see.

Mayflower made the Pigs their own Stamp
So we could see their faces.
Now Roni has it on a wanted poster
and tacked up all over B.C. in all the likely places.

The "Friends" are always busy.
Cindy and Charo send us a ton of Stats!

that just dazzle us other Cats!

So this email poem is a way to say
Have yourself a really terrific day.
And whenever you need to ... just take your rest.
We'll always be here when you get back
And ready to have a blast!

So Happy Day to each of you Dear Friends...
I want you to know what you mean to me:
My life is 'richer' because of every one of you.
And I'm sure you will all agree with me.
