I BELIEVE IN ANGELS
I have always had a love of
angels and I sometimes feel
them visit me, someone
dear
to me will come to me when I
least expect it. Some people
don’t believe
these things
but I sure do.
Many time in my life I have
seen an angel come back to
see me some times
when they
are passing or maybe even a
long time after.
The first instance that I
really noticed it was my
stepfather’s mom. Growing up
he wasn’t my stepfather but
my uncle and at many times
we would be around
his
family and I grew to love
his parents. I didn’t get to
see my grandparents on
my
mom’s side very often so it
was nice to have them. His
mom was a special
woman, she
raised a very large family
and was always there for
each and every
one of them.
When she passed it was a
great sadness to me as she
just was a
special lady. She
didn’t look special, she was
a very large lady and not
even that
pretty but I loved
her anyway.
Many years after, when my
mom was with my stepfather
and I left home to
go and
stay with her shortly before
my marriage, she put me in a
room upstairs
that she never
told me until after, had
been the room his mom slept
in. A couple
of nights after
I was there, I was awoken in
the night and she was
standing at
the end of my
bed and smiling at me. That
was it, nothing but the
smile. I told
my mom the
next morning and she told me
that I wasn’t the first to
see her.
My young brother
had seen her too in that
room. When my mom left my
dad,
my youngest brother
went with her. Bill and I
had been very close as from
the
moment he was born I
tried to do everything with
him that I could. When I
would come home from school
my mom knew she never had to
worry about
him as I would
take over. When she left and
took Bill I lost not only my
mom
but my baby brother too,
he was only two. I never
seen him again until he was
about 6 or 7. I think my
stepfather’s mom was smiling
as she knew Bill and I
were
under the same roof again.
There have been many
instances when I felt an
angel but only a few stuck
in
my mind. The next angel I
seen was mom as she was
leaving.
The day my mom passed I
wasn’t there by her wishes,
she wanted me to
remember
her before the Alzheimer's
had taken her. It was
something we had discussed
before she totally went into
another world. She had been
in the hospital
for three
weeks, and that day I
decided I was going to drive
to see her that night
after
work. I figured that she was
holding on that long that
meant I needed to go.
At
work that morning I told
them I was leaving for
Toronto as soon as I got off
and had no idea when I would
be back. At lunch, just as
it was time to go back to
work, I took a terrible pain
in my head. Nothing I have
ever felt before or since.
It hurt terribly that I even
mentioned it to my
co-worker, she looked at the
clock and told me it was
12:25 and we better get to
our machines.
When I got that home that
night, there was a message
for me, my mom had
passed at
12:25 that day. I have
always believed it was my
moms way of
saying goodbye,
she was an angel now.
Another time, I recall was
when my dear friend Anne
passed. She had been in
the
hospital off and on and it
was mainly family only. Anne
had beat it so many
times
that I really didn’t worry
about this time. I knew she
had made the decision
not to
fight but I guess I hoped
she wouldn’t go. I went to
bed one night, and
woke
suddenly with the feeling
that Anne was with me and
saying goodbye.
She was so
at peace and herself again,
no swelling, just the Anne I
used to know.
I went back
into a deep sleep but awoke
in the morning and wondered
about it.
I had this feeling
inside me that Anne was
gone.
It was a Tuesday and my
girlfriend was coming for
our Tuesday KFC dinner,
when
she came in, she told me to
sit down, and I asked her,
“its Anne, isn’t it”
and she
said yes. I told her about
my visit in the night and
she asked what time
it was
and I wasn’t sure but I had
went to bed early before 10,
she told me that
Anne passed
around that time. I will
believe I seen an angel
passing by to say
goodbye to
me.
There have been other
instances but nothing that
could compare with these
ones,
they remained in my
mind. This is part of the
reason I believe in angels.
